SharePoint Administrator
WBS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a SharePoint Administrator (IT Applications Analyst) in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. This position currently offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time regularly spent in the Milwaukee office.
This position is part of a job family (IT Applications Analyst and Senior IT Applications Analyst) where experience will be the determining factor.

Job Summary
The SharePoint Administrator (IT Applications Analyst) has overall responsibility for our on-premise and online enterprise SharePoint environments. This position will provide both project and operational support, including making improvements to our standards and support for our file and collaboration systems. “
This position works as a member of a team to support the company’s computer application systems and underlying databases systems (enterprise wide or client specific). Tasks include designing, modifying, developing, testing, configuring and implementing programs, scripts, processes and procedures (or decommissioning the same), including participation in a periodic on call rotation.
Job Responsibilities
- Architect, manage, and maintain the SharePoint environment on prem and in the cloud.
- Plan and implement SharePoint upgrades, service applications, and custom SharePoint features.
- Develop and maintain search architecture.
- Understand and maintain 3rd party applications or tools used for SharePoint.
- Provides daily support to systems, software applications, databases or tools. Analyzes error conditions and expedites problem resolution.
- Analyzes business requirements and data to provide recommendations on document management solutions.
- Writes documentation to describe SharePoint architecture and develop a disaster recovery plan.
- Perform site collection administration duties.
- Leverage PowerShell and other coding language for SharePoint administration.
- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Writes detailed descriptions of functional and system requirements and system modifications. Participate in design discussions.
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Collaboration Team and other business areas to share best practices and standards.
Minimum Qualfications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, MIS, Data Science, Information Science, Engineering is required. Other bachelor’s degrees will be considered based on related IT experience. Successful completion of a certified Application Development Apprenticeship will also be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
- 2+ years of SharePoint administration, support, and project delivery.
- Strong technical understanding of application development practices and strong analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills to act as a liaison between IT and business clients.
- Ability to present technical information to non-technical users both in small and large groups
- Ability to understand technical environments supporting document management solutions
- Experience in the design of information architecture, administration, training and support of document management systems, and SharePoint Online/M365 administration
- Understanding of document management best practices
- Understand the external access model using Azure

Pay Range Minimum: $78,702.26
Pay Range Maximum: $135,761.08
The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
