Business Analyst

 

WBS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Business Analyst in our Milwaukee Public Service Building location. This position offers a flexible work arrangement (remote/hybrid) with time spent in the Milwaukee office. 

 

This position is part of a job family (Business Analyst and Senior Business Analyst) where experience will be the determining factor.

Job Summary

This position will serve as a business analyst representing the IT organization with an emphasis on IT financial management.  This role will assist with:


•    Project controls including financials, SLA’s and resourcing
•    Expense management and controls
•    Cloud financial management and containment
•    Telecom expense management
•    IT financial reporting

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis on large amounts of complex data to provide the IT with fact-based insights. 
  • Support departmental reporting, metrics, budgets, dashboards, and analytics.
  • Make recommendations and present alternatives to resolve operational weaknesses as it relates to cost optimization and running the business of IT.  This includes IT asset management, financial management, vendor management and project/portfolio management.
  • Work with and mentor others on IT financial management and IT operational excellence.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience. 
  • Strong analysis, decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks under time constraints.
  • Proficient in standard office software (MS Excel, Visio, Word).

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience with Microsoft Power BI or similar tool.
  • Experience working with project management methodology.

Pay Range Minimum:  $76,932.70 

Pay Range Maximum:  $132,708.94 

 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
