Job Summary
The Senior Team Leader Field Services will be responsible for supervising, planning, organizing and directing a team of field, dispatch and external field staff. Ensures operations are performed in safe, efficient, accurate and an economical manner. The team leader is responsible for employee training, coaching, counseling and discipline in order to provide effective utilization and development of employees. Call out/storms support and overnight travel may be required.
Job Responsibilities
- Supports corporate /department initiatives while leading continuous improvement, change management, employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensures that all employee and customer’s needs are met in a safe, efficient and timely manner through the effective management of personnel, equipment and materials. Educates and reinforces the use of safe work practices and ensures compliance to Wisconsin/Michigan PSC rules and regulations and OSHA regulations.
- Oversees /monitors and supports safety, training, and quality assurance programs.
- Champions safety, health and wellness initiatives.
- Plans, develops, and conducts safety meetings and training sessions.
- Provides support and/or training to internal and external teams.
- Demonstrates a sound knowledge of department/corporate goals and policies. Develops new and/or modifies existing department policies and procedures.
- Coaches, counsels, and trains employees for improved job performance and self- development. Implements and administers the progressive disciplinary process when appropriate.
- Continues education to improve skills and acquire new skills; maintains knowledge of corporate and department tools, systems, policies and procedures.
- Performs administrative duties such as generating and reviewing reports, approving timesheets, validating performance, monitoring attendance.
- Supports customer satisfaction initiatives through resolution of internal and external customer complaints, concerns, or hazards.
- Troubleshoots company equipment, tools and systems to identify needed repairs and revisions.
- Interviews, hires and trains employees.
- Effectively communicates and delivers presentations to all levels of management, internal and external staff, customers, and vendors. (Both verbal and written).
- Supports resource plans by evaluating changing needs and prioritizes work and resources accordingly.
- Coordinates accurate, timely and executable work assignments, schedules; Identifies work ready to be released, schedules resources across skill sets and geographies, and effectively prioritizes the work for optimal utilization of personnel and equipment. Manages multiple priorities to meet both internal and external commitments, utilizing personnel and equipment in accordance with shifting priorities and workload.
- Uses experience to help Operations develop and implement strategic direction including:
- Manage the work for multiple service centers, creating “one view” of all work by monitoring forecasting, planning, scheduling daily assignments. Drives overall quality and performance from on time completion, audits, to meeting budget and overall quality. Maintains awareness of resource capability by skill for any point in time, manages resources, budgets and customer and company priorities to effectively optimize performance in all areas.
- Assists peers when needed, including supporting the emergency call out process.
- Supports the department budget including, but is not limited to monitoring purchases, overtime, time sheet reporting, expense bills etc., Identify continuous improvement opportunities to drive efficiencies and manage budget.
- The position may require travel to various company locations across all WEC utilities or other locations, including customer premises, using a personal vehicle. Overnight stays may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Drivers License Required.
- Minimum of 7 years in a related business, operation, management and customer contact experience required.
- Candidates must also have at least two years of experience in a leadership role.
- Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to affectively manage multiple tasks in complex or ambiguous situations.
- Experience leading initiatives from inception to completion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Communications, Law Enforcement or a related field is preferred.
- Field experience or Metering knowledge is preferred.

Pay Range Minimum: $90,507.56
Pay Range Maximum: $135,761.08
The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
