Manager PG Data Monitoring and Diagnostics
WPS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Manager PG Data Monitoring and Diagnostics in our Green Bay, Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Wisconsin or within a reasonable drive to any of our Wisconsin renewables locations. This position currently offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time spent in the office.

Job Summary
The Manager PG Data Monitoring and Diagnostics leads and mentors a staff of technically strong and service oriented engineers, data scientists, and/or data analysts and is responsible to manage all aspects of the Data Monitoring & Diagnostics (M&D) area for PG Renewables (Wind, Solar, and Battery Storage) Assets. You will provide oversight and strategic direction to ensure successful completion of PG Renewables Data M&D team functions.
Additionally, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain and improve tools for performance monitoring/reporting and risk assessment related to the operation of PG Renewables Assets. This role assesses the effectiveness of the PG Renewables M&D service, refining service through continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities
- Organize and interpret operating data to monitor PG Renewables asset performance, optimizing asset operation based on data evaluation, and implementing predictive analytics to avoid undesired outcomes. Develops direction for PG Renewables M&D team and challenges staff to optimize M&D platforms and functions.
- Create and present clear, concise reports and dashboards for various stakeholders, including executive leadership and identify actionable insights using data analysis tools.
- Explore new technologies and implement of novel concepts and tools.
- Apply coding best practices and automate routine tasks to streamline processes.
- Act as liaison with Renewables Operations Team, WEC EMMS team, WEC IT team, and 3rd parties as appropriate to drive utilization of operating data for improved asset availability, reliability, and efficiency.
- Perform other department work as needed including new project data integration activities, preparing and/or approving service and project specifications, monitoring project budgets, and overseeing the work of contractors.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7+ years relevant experience in Power Generation and/or Renewables, with at least 1+ years in data and analytics.
- Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Excel, AWS, Power BI, SQL, Python, and AI.
- Demonstrated experience leading or supervising others.
- Strong analysis, decision making, and problem solving experience.
- Highly motivated and able to work and produce results independently with minimal guidance.
- Knowledge of power generation equipment from the perspectives of the owner and operator.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to function well in a team environment and interface with a broad range of departments and work groups.
This position requires unescorted access to certain critical cyber assets which would require applicants to satisfy all Company and NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection Standard 004 security requirements, which includes a background investigation.

Pay Range Minimum: $117,004.94
Pay Range Maximum: $175,507.54
The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
