Intern - Asset Management

 

WPS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking an Intern - Asset Management in our Green Bay, Wisconsin location. This internship is full-time during the Summer of 2025 with the potential to work part-time during the academic year. This position offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time spent in the Green Bay office.

 

The hourly rate for this internship is $19.80 with paid company holidays.

Job Summary

We employ students for summer and year-round opportunities to help design creative cost effective systems and equipment that keep the energy flowing to our customers in a safe and reliable manner. WEC Energy Group offers a variety of opportunities for students seeking hands-on experience that are currently enrolled in a four-year degree program. Students work with experienced members of these functional teams.

 

The Fleet Department is in charge of ordering new equipment and maintaining the equipment. This position supports both the acquisition team and the maintenance team. As part of the fleet team you will interact regularly with many different departments within the organization.  

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and reporting on key Fleet Statistics
  • Assisting with process efficiencies for Fleet Capital and Maintenance Team
  • Analyze fleet data standards
  • Support staff on projects, data entry and analysis 
  • Build working knowledge within their field through exposure to a variety of daily tasks, and projects.

 

As a Asset Management Intern you will learn:

  • Technical expertise
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Project management skills
  • Working knowledge of Interfacing with GPS Systems, SAP, Fleet Management Software (ARI), Microsoft Office Systems (Excel, Word, Office)

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or HSED
  • Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline with a graduation date after June 2025.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.8

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
