Gas System Associate Analyst

WPS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Gas System Associate Analyst - GIS in our Green Bay, Wisconsin location. This position offers a hybrid (remote/office) work arrangement. The individual would need to be able to come into the Green Bay Office as needed.

Job Summary

 

An Associate GIS Analyst functions as a team member supporting gas & electric asset management strategies, maintaining the integrity and quality of GIS data, and auxiliary systems. 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • As-built mapping and maintenance of electric, gas, and land GIS facility data in accordance with standards, operating procedures and appropriate state and federal code requirements.
  • Reconcile data between GIS and related auxiliary systems.
  • Maintain network connectivity of gas and electric distribution systems.  
  • Prepare various maps, reports and charts using software tools to support staff & field.
  • Maintain GIS gas & electric standards and procedures including drawings and diagrams.
  • Deliver training to staff and field personnel.
  • Promote awareness of GIS and leverage the use of GIS.  
  • Support gas & electric emergency and storm related efforts.

Minimum Experience Required

 

  • Demonstrates fundamental technical knowledge and analytical skills.
  • Experience in directly related technical field is beneficial such as gas distribution operations, process control operations, mapping/GPS applications, corrosion prevention operations, gas system control operations and/or gas distribution code compliance.
  • Relevant experience is based on the specific role of the position, e.g. Instrumentation and Control, Maps and Records, Corrosion and Standards.

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Associate Degree in GIS or equivalent experience is preferred.

Pay Range Minimum:  $32.16 

Pay Range Maximum:  $48.24 

 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
