Construction Quality Supervisor

WPS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Construction Quality Supervisor (PG Construction Manager). This position can be located at our Green Bay or Kronenwetter, WI location. This position will require regular travel to support construction projects for our Power Generation Fleet.

 

 

This position is part of a job family (PG Construction Manager, Senior Construction Manager) and experience will be determining factor.

Job Summary

 

This position supports the Engineer/Project Manager in interfacing with plant staff, the project’s general contractor and/or other third parties.  This position provides direction, coordination, and guidance to employees and contractors engaged in construction activities. 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Performs as the owner’s representative at the construction site
  • Participates in a collaborative relationship with members of the team including the owner’s staff, contractors, suppliers, landowners, agencies and others
  • Ensures that all construction activities are performed in accordance with environmental permits, regulatory requirements, laws, leases, right-of-ways, and other agreements
  • Establishes and maintains working relationships with the municipal agencies, regulatory agencies, key local individuals, landowners, and the public at large that promote the positive image of the Project and the Company
  • Ensures the daily general activities of contractors and suppliers are in accordance with the terms of their respective contracts and the Project schedule
  • Ensures suppliers meet technical specifications by managing receipt inspection and quality control and assurance processes
  • Ensures that the work in progress is inspected in a timely manner and is substantially consistent with the issued drawings and specifications

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Construction Management or related field. Significant experience in construction, plant operations or maintenance will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 5 years of construction experience or related experience such as plant operations or maintenance
  • Senior level requires 7 years of construction experience or related experience such as plant operations or maintenance
  • Valid Drivers License

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Hands-on experience in power plant projects. This includes: demonstrated knowledge of codes and construction industry procedures, familiarity with large construction equipment such as excavators and cranes; experience working with union building trades; and administration of multi-million dollar contracts

 

 

End Date: 02/01/2026 

 

Pay Range Minimum:  $78,702 

Pay Range Maximum:  $135,761 

 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
