LNG Operator
We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a LNG Operator in our Whitewater, Wisconsin location.
Job Responsibilities
The LNG Operator supports the operation and maintenance of the LNG Plant (Liquefied Natural Gas) including the repair of all equipment associated with the liquefaction and vaporization of natural gas used for peak shaving. Operators can be called out at any time in addition to their regular rotating shift to respond to trouble calls.
- Monitor/operate/repair mechanical, electronic, air, temperature, pneumatic equipment for irregularities and proper operations to run optimal peak efficiencies
- Properly maintain, troubleshoot, and/or repair problems with plant equipment per maintenance schedule or as required
- Maintain fire protection equipment system
- Climb the LNG Storage tank to check and maintain equipment
- Operate and maintain plant equipment and systems to obtain acceptable / efficient operation
- Take daily readings, complete and send summaries of plant status as needed
- Respond to call outs as needed
- Start/Restart/Shutdown of plant per start up/ shutdown procedures
- Make suggested edits to procedures as needed
- Use of Software such as, but limited to: Microsoft Suite, SAP, ARCOS, DCS, etc..
- Documentation of abnormal operating conditions, writing notifications and work orders to address. Upon completion of repairs, documenting repairs, tests, and closing out work orders in SAP and wherever else needed
- The plant is a 24 hour operation, and will be staffed 24/7. At times of Vaporization and Liquefaction there may be a need for additional staff to be On-Call personnel to assist on shift operators
- Testing of combustible gas indicator system and safety alarms, practicing incipient fire procedures
- Practice good housekeeping and maintain appearance of the plant and grounds
- Repair fence and security system as necessary
- Assist in the training of outside agencies in the event of an emergency at the LNG Plant
- Store and order supplies as needed
- Working with vendors and escorting them as needed
- Complete and maintain all required training, including, but not limited to, GTI LNG Plant Operator Certification, all regulatory required training, all position required qualifications/training, and all company/corporate required training
This LNG Operator basic schedule is a 24/7 rotating shift schedule, working 8 hours shifts.

Applicant must have a valid driver's license and meet the company's requirements for driving

The applicant must comply with DOT Part 199 pipeline drug and alcohol testing requirements
Testing Requirements
Gas Operations Test (GOT): DAT-Mechanical Reasoning- Ability to understand mechanic concepts. DAT-Space Relations-Ability to visualize forms in space. DAT-Numerical-Assessment designed to measure an individual's understanding of numerical relationships and facility in handling numerical concepts. PPM-Perceptual Reasoning-Measures your ability to rotate objects and assemble multiple objects in space.NEO-PI3-Personality measure.
LNG Operator Structured Interview (LNGO): Safety Focus, Decision Making, Monitoring Information, Managing Work, Quality Orientation, and Communication.

Minimum Posting Range: $40.68
Maximum Posting Range: $54.25
The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
