This is a job family position (Work Methods & Development Consultant, Sr Work Methods & Development Consultant, Principal Work Methods & Development Consultant) and expereince will be the determining factor.
Job Summary
The Work Methods and Development Consultant - Gas Operations is responsible for leading the design and delivery of a variety of training and progression programs in Gas Operations. Identifies learning needs and develop and implement training solutions. Acts as a recognized technical resource to leaders and employees in the design and implementation of training/performance programs. Ensures training documentation is reviewed and maintained to ensure compliance with regulations, meets safety and operational needs and meets or exceeds industry standards. Utilizes advanced knowledge of adult learning theory to develop and deliver technical and non-technical training using multiple medium. Participate in safety and operator qualifications activities and/or performance investigations.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop Technical Training
- Owner of Operations training and progression programs.
- Determines Manager training schedule and use of resources to meet operational needs.
- Responsible for Gas Operations work methods/procedures development, editing and publication to align with regulations, safety and operational needs and industry standards and procedures.
- Lead Work Methods maintenance and initiatives
- Lead meetings to coordinate training, reference and work practices content.
- Conducts job site evaluations and establish field presence.
- Assists leadership and Safety Department as an expert technical resource.
- Lead root cause analysis investigations.
- Recognized as an expert resource
- Assist with storm restoration efforts (where applicable) company-wide and perform on-call operations duties including Duty Supervisor to manage 10 or more field operations employees
Minimum Qualifications
- Work Methods Level Requires: 2-3 years Operations or relevant experience. In lieu of Operations experience, a degree is required and a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in teaching/training
- Senior Level Requires: 5 Years Operations experience. In lieu of Operations experience, a degree is required and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in teaching/training
- Principal Level Requires: 7 Years Operations experience. In lieu of Operations experience, a degree is required and a minimum of 7 years’ experience in teaching/training and the ability to perform responsibilities identified in Associate Work Methods and Development Consultant Position, and Work Methods and Development Consultant Position and Senior Work Methods and Development Consultant Position.
- Strong analysis, decision making and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks under time constraints
- Experience working with project management methodology beneficial
- Proficient in standard office software (MS Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of adult learning practices
- Needs analysis to identify issues, problems and opportunities with client to identify the appropriate course of action
- Demonstrated people and change leadership capability
- Valid Driver's License

- Field experience in Gas Operations
- Commercial Driver's License

Pay Range Minimum: $74,692.28
Pay Range Maximum: $148,170.62
The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
