Engineering Major Projects Supervisor

Job Summary

The Engineering Major Projects Supervisor provides project management for primarily RNG projects and initiatives. The position ensures successful initiation, planning, execution, and control of projects including resource identification, documenting, status reporting, and facilitation throughout the project lifecycle.  It is vital to have good priority management, organization and communication in this position. 

This position will support the entire WEC Energies service footprint with the primary area of responsibility for this position being in Wisconsin. Due to this responsibility, the Engineering Major Projects Supervisor will need to travel to project sites.

Job Responsibilities

• Actively manage Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) portfolio ensuring compliance with standards and agreements.
• Communicate external RNG project updates, internal project updates, risks, timeline, budget, etc with leadership. 
• Engage in meetings with RNG developers throughout project duration and being their primary contact for operational questions.
• Maintain RNG standards to actively reflect Company procedures and standards or federal/state codes.
• Support RNG construction projects focusing on the Operational and Testing requirements.
• Oversight of budget items, including managing support contracts as needed.
• Manage internal resources and external contractors as required for project support. 
• Manage initiatives that may be cross-functional in nature, complex, involve multiple stakeholders.
• Responsible for identifying and executing improvement of existing programs, practices, and procedures through continuous process improvement techniques.
• Provides technical expertise, leadership, direction and training for various work groups.
• Support the off hours emergency response on call list. Participate on the engineer and supervisor on call list to provide computer support for natural gas field emergencies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• Valid Driver’s License 
• 5+ years relevant engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineering (PE) License
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• 5+ years of relevant project management experience.
• Project management coursework or training
• Natural gas experience. 
• Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels within the organization, including Senior Leadership.
• Experience with prioritization, negotiation, conflict management, interpersonal and delegation skills to accomplish goals.
