Job Summary

 

Under indirect and intermittent supervision, employees in this position maintain and operate assigned equipment in the compressor station, transmission system, and LNG Plant areas. These employees also perform all required safety and operational surveys on injection, withdrawal and LNG equipment. Additional responsibilities include performing One-Call locates/markings and on-site inspector assignments when required by operational activities by other utilities or contractors near our facilities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Inspect, prepare, and maintain equipment and wellheads used for injection, withdrawal, purification, measurement, and regulation of gas into and out of underground storage. Maintain Company vehicles and power operated equipment.
  • Inspect, prepare, and maintain equipment used for the liquefaction, vaporization, and storage of LNG.
  • Perform pipeline operation and maintenance activities on valves and piping.
  • Performs required safety survey inspections required by 49CFR192 and 49CFR193.
  • Perform material, handling, receiving, shipping, and ordering duties. Prepare budget reports as required.
  • Perform JULIE locate requests and acts as job inspector for pipeline crossings and associated activities by other utilities and contractors. Performs maintenance to right-of-way and company field facilities.

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • 1 year experience with mechanical equipment &/or machinery
  • Valid Drivers License

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience inspecting, preparing and maintaining equipment used for the liquefaction, vaporization, and storage of Liquified Natural Gas
  • Knowledge of safety inspections required by CFR192 and CFR193

Pay Range Minimum:  $27.61

 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
