Job Summary

 

The Operations Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of tasks including project management and documentation in an office setting. These various tasks could include data entry, system updating, scheduling tasks and interfacing with company and contracted field employees. The Operations Specialist will have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular area, works under minimal supervision, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasks.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Support occurring within an office setting includes such tasks as data entry, system updating (SharePoint), printer/copier support, initiation and receipt of field employee calls, creation of permit requests, and other administrative tasks.
  • Data collection from field activities, updating of company systems, interfacing with company and contracted field employees, and other administrative tasks.
  • Navigates and utilizes various document control solutions such as iManage and shared drives to input, update, and change operational or maintenance documentation to support regulatory compliance. 
  • Schedules employee physicals and coordinates safety shoe reimbursement. Also ensures availability of safety glasses, ID badges, etc. 
  • Supports time keeping tasks such as overtime pay tracking for exempt employees while acting as the liaison to payroll.
  • Collaborates with employees and supervisors to ensure the operational schedule has adequate coverage in our web based scheduling software (Snap Schedule). 
  • Maintains our facility SharePoint site and ensures it is accurate and up to date.
  • Collaborates with management to publish weekly and monthly reports associated with the facility to include operational key performance indicators 
  • Writes purchase requisitions for services and collaborates with vendors and supervision for delivery of services/materials. 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • High School Diploma, HSED, or GED
  • 5 + years – Standard computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • 5 + years – Identifying and implementing solutions to problems

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (i.e. SAP)
  • Document Control experience
  • Experience with scheduling software

Pay Range Minimum:  $28.61 

Pay Range Maximum:  $42.92 

 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
