Job Summary

 

The Logistics Process Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing processes for the warehouse staff.  Duties include, but are not limited to ensuring inbound and outbound freight are scheduled efficiently, orders for materials are filled per schedule, materials are received for efficiently, and materials are positioned effectively within the warehouse.  This position will ensure that all requirements for materials are available when needed by operational customers.  This position is also responsible for ensuring ERP systems are configured to effectively and efficiently support logistics processes.  This position will manage processes, implement process improvements, identify and remedy problems, train employees on new processes, and interface with operational customers.

Job Responsibilities

 

The Logistics Process Coordinator will oversee, plan and schedule logistics warehouse work and resources.  These responsibilities include the following:

  • Oversight, planning and scheduling of receiving, shipping, picking, put away, return materials, coordinates physical inventories, disbursements, oversee job site scheduling for deliveries and cleanups, along with special projects.
  • Interpret and perform analysis on warehousing data to provide the business with improvement opportunities
  • Support and maintain departmental reporting data, metrics, budget reports, dashboards, and analytics
  • Initiate and support changes to business processes to ensure highest level of data integrity and work group performance. 
  • Draft functional, process, and system documentation for reporting and training.
  • Monitor system and process performance and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Collect documentation on business requirements and implement processes improvements.
  • Promote and help drive projects to increase warehouse efficiencies.
  • Maintain high degree of skill on ERP system(s), Order fulfillment process, transportation requirements.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and contractors to ensure efficient product flow across organizational lines.
  • Anticipate, interpret, and translate overall business/industry trends into actionable solutions.
  • Monitor all demand for materials to ensure efficient picking, packing and shipping to operational customers.
  • Implement effective use of technology for logistics processes.
  • Maintain metrics, reports, training/safety/environmental records, procedures, and process documentation.
  • Maintain data integrity and accuracy of systems.
  • Ensure completions of all scheduled inventories to comply with Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
  • Responsible for managing all shelf life items and ensure stock rotation practices.
  • Make recommendations to the Supply Chain Logistics, and Inventory Management groups on methods to continuously improve inventory management, procurement, and logistics performance.
  • Manage inbound/outbound delivery of supplies and equipment.
  • Coordinate delivery of materials with internal and external customers as requested, including assigning work daily to meet and exceed customer expectations
  • Monitor transportation costs, backorder information, and manages expediting functions for supplies to support the Gas Operations construction projects.  
  • May provide daily work direction in the absence of Logistics Supervisor.
  • Supervision of represented employees

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Associate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or closely related discipline
  • 3 years of experience in Supply Chain is preferred

Pay Range Minimum:  $78,702.26 

Pay Range Maximum:  $118,053.26 

 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
