Job Summary

 

Leads a team or multiple teams of engineering supervisors, engineers and support staff responsible for complex engineering design projects. Has full technical responsibility for planning, developing, interpreting, organizing , coordinating and executing a variety of projects which are complex in nature and require the application of engineering and project management skills.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Ensures that design and support teams have the proper resource allocation, are correctly prioritizing workloads and that clear and concise deadlines are met.
  • Is involved with and can lead collaboration efforts with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the proper development and progression of PGL project portfolios.
  • Responsible for the development of key metrics to show progress of work and to identify areas of improvement with the opportunity to implement new or improve upon already existing processes and procedures.
  • Develops scope of work, design criteria and selection of outside service providers.
  • Provides input and is involved with the implementation of new regulatory requirements that impact PGL analysis and design.
  • Performs other department work as needed including, preparing and monitoring departmental budgets, reviewing and approving departmental invoices and presenting departmental updates to various audiences.

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • 7+ years relevant engineering experience.  Demonstrated experience leading or supervising others.

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Working with and understanding related internal PGL gas standards and Federal codes (CFR 192).

Pay Range Minimum:  $119,696.20 

Pay Range Maximum:  $179,544.04 

 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
