Job Summary
The Document Control Lead/Supervisor will be responsible for supervising daily activities and workflow processes for a team of Document Control Specialists residing throughout the Peoples Gas territory as well as support for sister utilities under the WEC umbrella. This team interacts with various internal stakeholders to collect, process and maintain documents that are necessary to conform to company requirements; develops and maintains a comprehensive filing system and database for documents to be retained in the document control system; manages the operation of the various document control systems to ensure that all users have the latest revision of appropriate documentation in a timely manner. In addition, this role supports annual audits, creation and maintenance of capital procedure and guidelines, and user training of various systems.
Job Responsibilities
- 50% Supervise and participate in the Document Control functions of document fulfillment, release, change, and archiving. Audit incoming documents to ensure consistency of form and accuracy of information. Coordinate with Field Operations for collecting, inputting and filing all data and reports relating to Site Inspectors. SharePoint site organizer. Maintain document files to be orderly, up-to-date and ready for audit at all times. Maintain project document logs.
- 25% Provide for the development and maintenance of document control systems to track product documentation throughout a product’s life cycle. Ensure appropriate systems are in place to track all facets of Document Control functions. Audit document releases to ensure accuracy and proper storage/archiving. Coordinate and communicate changes in document control functions and processes. Locate documents for data requests received through various legal dockets.
- 25% Supervise and provide direction, training, and feedback to assigned personnel. Identify and recommend staffing needs and prepare/update job descriptions. Conduct performance appraisals and make salary recommendations. Create and instruct trainings for SharePoint, iManage and other Document Control applications.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years Providing services on major construction programs
- 5+ years Project Management (e.g. understanding engineering concepts and document flow)
- High School Diploma, HSED or GED is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree preferred but not required
- Expert knowledge in i-Manage (DeskSite) and SharePoint

Pay Range Minimum: $76,932.70
Pay Range Maximum: $125,015.80
The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
