Job Summary

 

The Associate Engineer works under general supervision to provide Engineering support to field staff and personnel through a variety of projects and assignments. The Associate Engineer evaluates system performances through modeling, develops detailed schematics, oversees shutdowns, and performs other assignments.

Job Responsibilities

 

As an Associate Engineer, you will learn to:

  • Develop knowledge of industry equipment and processes used to ensure the safety and reliability of our pipeline system.
  • Create step-by-step procedures that direct how to energize/de-energize complex gas main configurations safely and efficiently.
  • Facilitate shutdown meetings with various stakeholders involved in the execution of the project.
  • Understand the operation of gas facilities to properly supply natural gas to customers.
  • Oversee shutdowns in the field to reinforce technical and operational knowledge.
  • Analyze and document methane emissions exceeding certain thresholds. 

 

This position is part of the Engineering job family (Associate Engineer and Engineer). Experience will be the determining factor.

 

These positions are part of our engineering rotation program. This provides our Engineers opportunity to learn a variety of engineering functions.

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • The Associate Engineer requires: 0-2 years relevant engineering experience
  • The Engineer requires: 2-5 years relevant engineering experience 
  • Must meet company standards for driving and maintain a valid driver's license

Pay Range Minimum:  $68,436.68 

Pay Range Maximum:  $127,891.14 

 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
