Job Summary
The Operations Specialist is responsible for a variety of tasks to support operations for North Shore Gas. They support these functions within an office setting, and the various tasks could include The various tasks may include but are not limited to, monitoring compliance workloads, analyzing data and utilizing reports, creating work orders, requesting permits, fielding calls from customers and field employees, and providing daily support to company and contracted field employees. The Operations Specialist will have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular area, while under minimal supervision, and relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasks.
Job Responsibilities
- Scheduling field crews for operations, initiation and receipt of both customer and field employee calls, calling in JULIE locates, and creating work order packets
- Support occurring within an office setting includes such tasks as data entry, system updating (SharePoint), creation of permit requests, and other administrative tasks
- Data collection from field activities, updating company systems, interfacing with company and contracted field employees, and other administrative tasks
- Collaborates with employees and supervisors to ensure the operational schedule has adequate coverage
- Works across the company functionally to meet internal and external customer needs to help support field operations
- Performs a variety of tasks and assists shop management to complete multiple assignments, projects and campaigns
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma, HSED, or GED
- 5 + years Standard computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- 5 + years Identifying and implementing solutions to problems
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience with SharePoint, Open-CIS, or PCAD Dispatch
- Experience scheduling field crews
- 1+ year of experience working in an office setting

Pay Range Minimum: $28.61
Pay Range Maximum: $42.92
The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
