Job Summary

Associate Analyst position functioning as a team member supporting gas storage asset management strategies in various areas such as compressor station operations and controls, gas dehydration, injection/withdrawal wells, leak and survey activities, corrosion prevention, facility documentation, standards and materials, and code compliance activities. The Associate Analyst conducts installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and project activities with limited scope and complexity often under direct oversight. The Associate Analyst supports operational, code compliance and emergency response activities of the assigned team while maintaining a focus on safety, customer satisfaction, code compliance and financial responsibility.

Job Responsibilities

  • Inspect and maintain gas compressors, storage wells and related equipment.
  • Control and monitor pipeline pressures and flow rates within guidelines.
  • Respond to call outs from Gas Control.
  • Respond to alarms and initiate appropriate actions.
  • Perform CFR 192 required inspections on compressor stations, pipelines and storage wells.
  • Have knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles.
  • Complete and maintain all Operator Qualification (OQ) requirements.
  • Locate and respond to One call tickets (MISS DIG).
  • Perform lock out/tag out practices per energy control procedures.

Minimum Experience Required

  • Demonstrates fundamental technical knowledge and analytical skills.
  • Experience in directly related technical field is beneficial such as gas distribution operations, process control operations, mapping/GPS applications, corrosion prevention operations, gas system control operations and/or gas distribution code compliance.
  • Relevant experience is based on the specific role of the position, e.g. Instrumentation and Control, Maps and Records, Corrosion and Standards.
  • Applicant must have a valid driver's license and meet the company's requirements for driving.
  • Located within 20 miles of the facility to respond to call outs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree.
  • Class A CDL w/ air brakes (required within 90 days).
  • 2-3 years working on pipelines and/or compressor station.
  • 1-2 years mechanical experience.
  • 1-2 years experience in gas control.
  • 1-2 years of pipeline locating experience.

Pay Range Minimum:  $32.16 

Pay Range Maximum:  $48.24 

 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
